Slow Cooker Cream Cheese Chicken

Rich, creamy Italian chicken made in the slow cooker!


  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 package Italian salad dressing mix
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter, divided
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • “Cream of Chicken Soup” from scratch

  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • Instructions

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper and place in the bottom of your slow cooker. Pour 2 tablespoons of melted butter over the chicken. Cook on low for 4-6 hours. 
  • Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a sauce pan. Add onion and garlic and saute until fragrant. Add all ingredients for Cream of Chicken Soup and mix well. Stir in cream cheese until incorporated. Add mixture to slow cooker and heat for an additional hour on low.
